This is the case of a young teenager who consulted us because of the prominence of his teeth and the spaces between his teeth. We explained that to reduce the prominence, 4 premolars would have to be extracted. This was accepted by the patient and his parents. In such cases, you need to have well-defined treatment goals (see Tx plan slide). It’s important to have objectives, an estimate and to plan mechanotherapy accordingly. The facial changes obtained are very favourable. The superimposed initial and final tracings show the amplitude of the dental movements that have been achieved. The retraction of the incisors was even slightly greater than planned. During retraction, control of the axes (torque) allowed the upper and lower incisors to straighten to normal values. The last slide shows that the roots are well located in the dentoalveolar corridor. We should add that this young patient is very satisfied with the results obtained and so are his parents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
